Zverev, Ruud, Dimitrov, Monfils, and Pacheco check in at the 2026 AMT

  • Nine singles matches complete the first round in Acapulco

Acapulco, February 23, 2026.- Alexander Zverev, top seed; Casper Ruud, third seed; and veterans Grigor Dimitrov and Gael Monfils, along with Mexico’s Rodrigo Pacheco, will take the court on Tuesday at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presented by HSBC, which is being played this week in Acapulco.

Germany’s Zverev, top seed and 2021 champion, will face France’s Corentin Moutet; Norway’s Ruud, 2024 finalist, will face China’s Wu Yibing, while Bulgaria’s Dimitrov, 2014 champion, will face France’s Terence Atmane on the court at the Arena GNP Seguros stadium.

At the Grandstand, Rodrigo Pacheco, the only Mexican in singles, opens the action against Italy’s Flavio Cobolli, the fifth seed, followed by the match between the United States’ Frances Tiafoe, the eighth seed, and Portugal’s Nuno Borges. Veteran Monfils, in his farewell season, will face Bosnia ‘s Damir Dzumhur.
