Acapulco, Guerrero, February 26, 2018. With mariachi music, Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem had a mini-tennis match at the amphitheater of Sinfonía del Mar, located next to the famous cliff of La Quebrada.
With a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean, the sea breeze, the flight of seagulls and pelicans, as well as the crash of the waves on the rocks made the perfect scene for these two tennis players to take a picture of the moment.
“This place is beautiful, it has a great view, I hope to return next year, thank you for inviting me,” said Zverev, fifth place in the ATP ranking.
The German will play for the first time in this tournament that celebrates his XXV anniversary, while Dominic Thiem was already champion of Acapulco 2016, but now he returns in search of his second crown.
“It was a great experience, mini-tennis is always fun, but even better in locations like these, it’s something unique and I’m ready to start the tournament,” Thiem commented, after posing with a mariachi hat and a spectacular view of the open sea.
In this place, events, concerts, plays and presentations of symphony orchestras are performed, this sporting event will be included in the event, which was attended by Renata Burillo, president of the board of directors of Mextenis, as well as Raúl Zurutuza, director of the tournament and Ernesto Rodríguez, secretary of Tourism of Acapulco.

“The tournament has a promising future, the best in world tennis that will give a great show throughout the week, thanks to all the government of the state and the Acapulqueños who have received us at home,” Zurutuza said.
In the midst of a whirlwind of followers and media, thestars of Abierto Mexicano de Tenis went away.
