Lesia remains the queen of Acapulco

Acapulco, Guerrero, March 3rd.- Lesia Tsurenko champion of Abierto Mexicano Telcel, presented by HSBC, after defeating Stefanie Voegele (5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2). Now she holds two titles in Acapulco.

“At first I was tired, I did not play my best tennis, but I improved as the match went on, I am happy to play in Acapulco and I will try to return next year to get a third title,” said Lesia.

Tsurenko, ranked 40 in the world, required 2:44 hours of play to get his fourth crown in the professional circuit. Lesia became the fifth tennis player who joins the select group of two-time champions of the tournament: Amanda Coetzer, Flavia Penetta, Venus Williams and Sara Errani.

Tsurenko had some difficulties in the game that threatened her crown, she rewied her mistake and made a change in her game to turn the score in her favor.
