Spectacular tennis exhibition with floating tennis courts in Acapulco’s iconic Santa Lucia Bay

  • Thanks to the efforts of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda the activity that showcases the beauty of the port of Acapulco was once again held

Acapulco, February 22, 2025.- The iconic floating court in the middle of the sea of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel Mexican Open presented by HSBC returned for the XXXII edition, where Danish Holger Rune and American Frances Tiafoe gave a tennis exhibition on Acapulco’s spectacular St. Lucia Bay, an emblematic site of the Guerrero port of Acapulco.

Thanks to the support and combined efforts of the Governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado Pineda, it was possible to carry out this activity after 10 years, with which the official flag was given for all the official flag was given for all the surprises that the most important tennis tournament in Latin America in its tournament in Latin America in its category to be held between February 24 and March 1.

They played and joked about the difficulty of tennis on the sea, as well as enjoying the spectacular view and beauty of Acapulco, which once again shows how it has risen and is a strong port with a vision for the future.

On behalf of Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, the Secretary of Tourism of the State of Guerrero, Simón Salgado Pineda, attended the event.

“We are very happy and we are sure that we will break all expectations. The Governor will continue support events as important as this one, which showcase the port of Acapulco”, he assured.

This spectacular exhibition was also attended by Ricardo Salinas, Chief Financial Officer of the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Guerrero and Jose Antonio Fernandez, Director of Operations of Mextenis.
