  • More than 120 children, along with some parents, were invited by Mextenis, DIF and HSBC to enjoy different recreational activities and tennis clinics.

Acapulco, February 26, 2025.- Family Day is getting stronger every year and for Mextenis it is a project that is here to stay. Within the framework of the XXXII edition of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presented by HSBC, the integral activity for girls, boys and parents from local communities of Nuevo Puerto Marqués de Acapulco took place.

A concept that began in 2019 at the Los Cabos Open and migrated to this destination, home for more than two decades of the company. Once again the DIF was the body in charge of looking for families who have not attended this day previously, and so from eight in the morning, about 120 little ones arrived at the complex to participate in tennis clinics supported by instructors, while about 100 parents accessed ecological teaching, beauty and visual health modules.

“The social responsibility program is a pillar project for Mextenis. It is important for us to take advantage of our platform. We have realized that the tournament works to publicize local projects and support them, so we have a responsibility as spokespeople. Family Day is just one part of a chain of positive actions for Acapulco and this way we can open the tournament to people who might not have another opportunity to get to know the sport,” said Andrea Lopez, marketing and social responsibility at Mextenis.

The beauty module is what attracts the most attention year after year, there are haircuts, eyebrow alignments and eyelash lifts. In addition, HSBC’s social responsibility area also provided eye exams together with Devlyn. Those who require will be given glasses for better vision.

“Very good activity, thank God we were invited, my daughter Mariana likes all sports. I wanted to sleep and she woke me up to tell me to come,” said the mother of the family, Helena Cuenca from Puerto Marqués.

Among other activities, the little ones were also taught how to make ‘seed bombs’ and how to use them to plant trees. Even Joeys Planet’s inflatable play area decided to be available free of charge for Wednesday morning visits at the GNP Seguros Arena.
